East Round 2

CBJ      3

Isles     1

After an extremely dull affair in Columbus the series shifted back to New York for Game 5 with the Isles hoping to lull the Bluejackets out of the playoffs. Well GM Jesse had other ideas and having the team blast rails off the trainers table before the first must have been 1 of them! Columbus came out fast and furious putting 18 first period shots (almost last games total output) on goal to serve notice to the Isles that they weren't ready to pack it in just yet and took a 1-0 lead to the dressing room. Both teams played a spirited second period however and when K. Connor scored with under a minute left in the frame to tie GM Jesse must have been thinking "here we go again". The third period reverted back to the snore fest of last game with neither team wanting to open up and make that crucial mistake to cost the team the game. Luckily for Columbus veteran R. Getzlaf notched his second of the game to provide the visitors the lead and allowed them to choke the flow out of the Isles the rest of the way. Zach Hyman got his first of the playoffs into the empty net to ice it and force another game. CBJ showing some life now heading home trailing 3-2

Bruins     3

Habs       5

Well, just when you start to believe the Bruins are this playoffs Cinderella they go and turn into a pumpkin! It is almost like the sim just enjoys toying with whomever is playing either for or against Boston every game. For example in tonights contest, Boston and Montreal play a fairly even first period that ends 2-2.....Boston outshoots Montreal the rest of the way 26-18 including a 12-2 shot differencial in the second period and gets outscored 3-1 the rest of the way. After beating the band after the last sim about J. Saros being this seasons sim darling goalie he shits the bed allowing 5 goals on 29 shots for a .828 Sv %. Ok, so are the Habs snipers starting to take control again or will Saros make back to back 53 save games??? Who the fck knows??? I give up....only thing I know is anything Bruins this playoffs is unknown! At least this series is interesting! Headed back to Boston with Habs up 3-2
