West Round 2

Oilers     3

Flames   2

Booooooo!!! The series that nobody wanted to see end did so a game too soon in Calgary. There was really no magic formula, no bizarre stats, nothing really about this game to comment on other then the Flames lost! This was a pretty competetive game from the opening puck drop with Calgary having a slight edge in play for the night. The difference on this night was back-up tender J. Halak getting his third start of the playoffs and third win just outlasting D. Kuemper and his stubborn Flames teammates. Calgary took a slight 2-1 lead to the third and played a pretty good period but Edmonton was able to tie and then cement the series with a go ahead goal a little over halfway through the frame. Calgary managed to get Kuemper out of the goal for the extra attacker but were unable to force overtime and prolong the series. Edmonton now moves on the face Colorado where hopefully we all will be treated to another great battle. Oilers advance in 6
