BRHL Finals
Habs 4
Av's 5
Colorado returned home for Game 5 with a gun to their head needing a win to stay alive and like most good teams responded in kind! This was not Colorados best game however and more of the credit goes to the solid play of Freddie Andersen once again doing just enough to garner a win! Colorado was outshot and outplayed for 2 of the 3 periods but rode a strong second period where they had 17 shots and 3 goals to the victory! C. Desmith got the nod in goal once again for the Habs and once again was the second best goalie on the ice allowing all 5 goals on 34 shots whereas his counterpart F. Andersen stopped 34 of the 38 shots he faced for the win. After 2 poor showings and the better play of A. Forsberg it is safe to say we have seen the last of C. Desmith in these playoffs barring an injury so Colorado will have to earn it the rest of the way if they are to claim this seasons cup. Two excellent teams continue to battle with the series now going 6 at least heading back to Montreal. Habs still lead 3 games to 2.
