Eastern Finals

Habs     4

Isles      3

Oh Oh!!! Montreal has done something nobody else has been able to do to this point and that is getting to A. Vasilevskiy. The hometown Islanders came into Game 2 determined to even up the series and they executed that plan to perfection out playing and out shooting the visitors from Montreal each and every period. The problem was a very ordinary A. Vasilevskiy took to the net and "ordinary" has not been a word used in the same sentance as Vasilevskiy till now. Montreal had built a 4-2 lead after 2 periods and managed to escape with a 4-3 win despite being outshot to the tune of 41-26 for the game. Superb goaltending is something these Isle fans are used to but not by the visitors. This series may be a long way from over but going home up 2-0 is one hell of a first step for Montreal. The Isles look to regroup away from the distractions of home in serious trouble while the Habs are hoping for more of the same although it is expected that A. Forsberg will spell C. Desmith in goal to provide a much needed rest before Game 4. Game 3 on the horizon with Montreal up 2-0
