Eastern Finals

Isles     0

Habs    3

The eastern finals switched gears and headed off to Montreal for Game 3 but other then the rink, nothing else changed as the Habs were once again victorious. I am really not sure what to take from this series as it was expected to be a close battle throughout with probably a slight bias towards "Blue balls" and his isles to take it. Well, 3 games later we are all trying to figure out how the Habs are on the cusp of a broom job to head to the finals. This isn't to suggest that the Isles have played poorly or are out-matched but clearly Montreal has their number and had it again on this evening. A. Forsberg got the expected start and played like a #1 tender turning aside all 33 shots faced enroute to the shutout and his 4th victory of the playoffs. A. Vasilevskiy also made 33 saves and played well but simply not well enough to cool off this red hot Habs squad that has now won 5 straight. This series isn't done but the fat lady can be heard warming up and GM Steve will look for her to scream from the rafters at the conclusion of game 4. Habs lead 3-0
