Western Finals

Av's      2 (2 OT)

Oilers   1

Game 6 took place in Edmonton and like Game 5 required overtime to solve it. Unlike Game 5 where both goalies played poorly in a shootout this was one of those games you hated to see a goalie lose! After a Game 5 that saw a combined 9 goals scored on 73 total shots we get 3 combined goals on 119 total shots in Game 6! J. Halak got the start and took his only loss of these playoffs but could hardly be faulted as he made 67 saves giving his team every opportunity to take this game. Freddie Andersen also saw a pretty solid workload making 49 saves for his 12th win in these playoffs propelling his squad onwards to the finals. This series now draws to a close after 6 games but with 3 of the 6 games decided in OT it is clear this could have gone either way. Congrats to both for making it this far and a great series but onwards goes Colorado for a date with the Habs. Colorado wins 4-2
