So Nurse is $3.75 M less than his NHL salary, Copp is $4.1 M and Bertuzzi is $2.25. I have never and probably never will understand why we do this. Because a GM doesn't want to pay the going rate for a guy he gets a multi-million dollar discount.
The system always has and always will work itself out. It's put in place for that exact reason.
Trade minimums have always been too low. There is no incentive to sign your RFAs when they hit 28 years old. If you arent doing sign and trades, youre playing the game wrong now unfortunately.
How can I be one that figured this out 2 years ago. Don't overthink it Larry. Use it but you have to be willing to let your guys go to get back quality at cheaper price
