Team Ontario Roster Set
Expectations are high for Ontario with a strong roster.
Team Ontario enters the Word Cup of Hockey as one of the gold medal favourites. The team features some of the best depth down the middle, and a strong Defence. A decent crop of wingers round out probably the best set of skaters in the tournament. The biggest question mark is in net, where the team will rely on Internationally untested Carter Hutton, or the inconsistent Brian Elliott.
Forwards:
The team features probably the best top-6 in the tournament. Things get a bit more interesting with the remainder of the forwards, particularly the wingers. 9 skaters will be jostling for 6 spots with Simmonds, Bailey, Hoffman, more likely to get the nod if the team goes for a more offensive approach; whereas Byron, Jenner and Hyman could see some action of they are looking for more defensive-minded strategy.

Defence
On the back-end, the team has clearly focused on offensive and puck-moving abilities throughout the lineup. There are no pure "shut-down" defensemen, as the team has opted to avoid players who handle the puck like it is a grenade. The focus here is clearly to maintain possession, and provide attacking support for the forwards, while still reamining reasonably defensively responsible.
Like the forwards, the top-end is incredibly strong, but there will likely be some movement in and out of the lineup in the bottom pairing, with Ekblad, Muzzin and Fowler all looking to steal a spot from Pietrangelo or Ellis.

Goalies
As mentioned, probably the biggest question mark for this team is in net. Likely, the starting job is Carter Hutton's to lose, though he will undoubtedly be pushed by Brian Elliott. Mike Smith is unlikely to get a real chance to play, except maybe against the Maritimes.
