Washington Capital Prospects Down on the Farm
Part 1 features forwards
With two expansion teams entering the BRHL at the same time they will forever be linked and compared. The approach of Washington GM Lawrence Linke and Seattle GM Ryan Shuck could not have been different. While Linke concentrated on younger players during the expansion draft Shuck gambled on some high price free agents (two of which he was able to sign and flip for 1st round picks) and many oher veterans he was able to flip for later picks. As of press time Shuck has (9) premium picks (1st, 2nd and 3rd) round picks and 16 later picks. The obvious question is will Shuck make his own selections or will he obtain out side help. Washington GM Linke has pointed out numerous time that the Washington Capitals are currently the most successful expansion team in the history of the BRHL.
