Sens mid season review

The Atlantic is a fucken gauntlet

Since taking over for disgraced former GM Kirk Shuck (RIP), Steph Villeneuve have essentially dismantled his predecessor’s years of hard work by blowing it up and going all in. By trading away basically every valuable piece for a chance at the cup, Villeneuve has sent a message that he’ll do whatever it takes to win now. “We aren’t here to fuck around and shake cocks with the rest of these sorry losers. Nobody gives a fuck about some conference finals loss from 3 seasons ago. Buncha fucken pathetic wankers.” -Villeneuve. After a slow start, very few teams have been as hot as the Sens. Apparently the only teams that are as hot all play in the Atlantic division. While the rest of the league is pretty much settled in its ways, the Atlantic is a blood bath that continues to roll along, with Montreal, Boston, Tampa and Detroit all dominating competition. By being 9th in goals for and 4th in goals against, The Sens are hoping to land a WC slot and cross over and run the train on the red headed step child that is the Metro division. Led by the top line of Crosby/Seguin/Giroux who’ve combined for 133 points, the Sens figure to be playing long into June. Watch for them to continue to add pieces as the run for the cup continues!
