2 Game 7's upcoming in east
Isles 2
Habs 3 OT
The battle of the back-ups in Montreal likely would not have been any better if both starters played as both squads came to play in this one. Althought the Habs held a slight shot advantage through regulation this game could have gone either way at any point but both goalies played exceptionally well, especially considering the pressure of a game 6 with neither having seen any action since before the play-offs started! It was unfortunate that someone had to take the loss but this is the playoffs and someone has to win. Vinny Trocheck grabed his own rebound off a blocked shot and ripped it past a surprised J.Halak in overtime to send the home crowd into a frenzy and his team to game 7. Winner takes all in NY tied at 3.
Sens 3
Bolts 2
In the series that most thought would be pretty one-sided the visiting Sens managed to stay alive and force a game 7 following this win. The heavily favored Sens were all out just to get to this game 7 but this missed opportunity by the Lightning may turn out to be the difference in this series. With the Lightning starting tender not expected to be 100% GM Ferr has a very difficult decision to make as this games starter in Mike Smith played well in relief and will be 100% ready for the game. The Sens will have home ice and their starter at 100% for next game and will once again have a clear advantage. Smart money is on the stacked Sens but GM Ferrs Bolts won't go away! With many high profile teams going to game 7 will we see a wide open play-offs or will the favorites prevail??.... huge game 7 coming!
