Western round 2 kicks off

Preds  2

Vegas  3 OT3

In what is fast becoming a normal occurance in these playoffs we see a game going multiple overtime periods before reaching its conclusion. Both teams had their chances in this game but both goalies played exceptional before Vegas took advantage of an exhausted Preds team while on the PP and managed to get the winner. K.Lehtonen has been outstanding for Nashville getting them to this point but D.Dubnyk has been perfect since taking over in goal for Vegas going 4-0-0 following tonights win. Vegas has been an offensive machine outplaying their opposition almost every night and did so again tonight. Ryan McDonagh was finally the hero rewarding his team play with a well earned 3rd of the playoffs. What will be interesting to see as this series moves along is how these teams handle the fatigue factor with both teams having multiple players suiting up at less then 100%. Will the injury bug arrive....will it be a key player.....will the goalies faulter?  Golden Knights up 1-0

Hawks   1

Stars    6

Huh again!!!! So Dallas struggles with a clearly inferior Jets team with a fringe #1 goalie and moves on after surviving a game 7 scare to face an equally offensive talented team with solid goaltending. The result is a 6-1 victory in a game they were out shot in! Don't know what to say about this game other then it has to just be a blip on the radar....Dallas was not this good and Chicago wasn't that bad but the goaltending was. 'The King" wasn't good enough to be a Princess in this one and although the reliever in Lehner was better he wasn't exactly Johnny Bower either. This game was over before the halfway point of the second with little or no emotion.....looking for a bounce back game from several players and perhaps a little animosity in the next! Dallas gets the early jump leading 1-0
