It what has to be a totally frustrating exit for GM Bast having outplayed his opposition on most nights throughout the playoffs his team was once again the better one on the night but not on the scoreboard. The visitors from Nashville played a couple of flawless road periods limiting the chances against and for all intents and purpose turned this into a snorefest. For whatever reason D.Dubnyk picked a horrible time to shit the bed giving up 4 goals on just 17 shots before being pulled but that was more then enough goals as K. Lehtonen was once again a wall in goal stopping all 30 shots against. Yet again Nashville advances to a conference final only this time very unexpected as the 8th seed. Preds win 4-3
