In what should have been a game 1 loss GM Junya and his Stars stole victory from defeat. With Dallas trailing by a goal late and the net empty P. Kane ripped a shot by a suddenly human K. Lehtonen to tie with only 12 seconds left in regulation forcing this one to overtime. L. Schenn started the Preds off shorthanded just 11 seconds into overtime taking a tripping penalty and perhaps leading to the loss. Dallas didn't score on the PP but Nashville never got untracked with Dallas continuing to press with the late momentum shift in the third and the early overtime powerplay leading up to E. Lindholm potting just his second of the playoffs only 3:41 in. The "other" Kane had 2 goals and appeared to have the game winner with less then 3 minutes left in regulation in a wasted effort in the loss. In a very close game Dallas manages to hold the advantage up 1-0
