Daily Recap
East game 2
Isles 3
Tampa 2
For the second straight game the Isles go into Tampa and skate away with a victory and have a firm grasp on the series heading back to New York. In what has been the M.O. for Tampa all playoffs, staying close with goaltending and stealing games late, Tampa got Tampa'd ! Tampa came out of the gate strong and took a well-deserved 2-0 lead into the first intermission and despite being in control for most of the game from that point forward they simply couldn't get the goal to put the Isles away. Kyle Connor scored his 9th of the playoffs in the second to inch the Isles closer heading to the third where once again Tampa took control. In what has to be completely disheartening for Tampa they only allowed 4 shots against in the third period but 2 of them went in resulting in the loss and what had been their strong suit all playoffs suddenly became their weakness. Tampa now heads to New York trailing 2-0 but it is expected sniper A. Lee will make his series debut and although he won't be 100% his offense will be required if Tampa has any hope of getting back into this. New York in the drivers seat!
