Trade Board - top 25 (or so)
A quick rundown of the top 25 players (or so) on the BRHL trade board as we head into deadline time.
This is a combination of my own thoughts and what guys have posted on the trade board. I got a little carried away and went above 25 players lol. Anyhow, enjoy. In no particular order:
Duncan Keith
Actively being shopped by the league-worst Redwings. No way he is still on that team after the deadline.
PK Subban
He's on the board because I am sure the wings would love to get something for him. The question is, will they be able to move that contract?
MA Fleury
I fully expect he will move before the deadline. Will Rex get as much as he is hoping? Probably not.
Mark Barberio and the other Seattle Crap
I'm sure Rex would love to get something for Barberio, Pyatt, Benning, Grzelcyk and Archibald. Gotta think he will succeed and manage to move one or two of em.
Scott Laughton
Great rates for a 4th liner. Once Larry recognizes that his ask needs to align with that (4th liner), he will be moved.
Leo Komarov/Jori Lehtera/Tyler Ennis
Depth forwards that Vancouver should be trying hard to move before the deadline. We will see if Rob makes an appearance and manages to ship one or more of these guys out.
Roman Polak
Another Canuck who should move if Rob becomes active approaching the deadline. He has really quite good rates and should fetch a mid/late pick.
Keith Kinkaid
Ugh
Kyle Brodziak
Flyers should try to move him for a late pick.
Zdeno Chara & Justin Braun
I wouldn't be surprised to see Chara and/or Braun dealt. They both have similar rates that several contenders could use. Flyers may have to retain some, however.
Marcus Kruger
I expect the Leafs to hold out to try to get a "Hansford" price for him, and ultimately settle for a 7th rounder in the final hours before the deadline.
Corey Crawford
Jared wants to loose. He needs to stop playing Crawford. Thus, Crawford makes the list.
Joe Thornton / Thomas Vanek
Mikka should get whatever he can for these old farts. It won't be much.
Every Veteran on the Devils (Koivu, Thompson, Simmonds, Engelland, Lundqvist, Mike Smith)
Time for a rebuild Timmy. You might get a decent return for one of two of these guys, but the rest should just be a get-what-you-can type situation.
Niklas Hjalmarsson
He has been actively shopped already. No question he will be out of Florida before the deadline.
Dominik Kubalik
He's good at baseball. Also, he is young and has some value, so no place for him in the Sens organization.
Everybody on the Flames
Seriously. Look at Kevins trade block. I was going to try to pick out a few individuals to name specifically, but I got no idea what Kev is up to.
Karlsson
I don't know which one. Eric is shopping "Karlsson" and he has two of em.
Mikkel Boedker
2 pts in 8 games IRL. No wonder Toby is shopping him. Anyway, he has decent rates and somebody on the bubble may need him more than the Pens... oh wait.
Victor Arvidsson
The Jackets are looking for a top line LW and it seems the most likely to be moved do get that is Victor.
Jordan Staal
Lightning are trying to rid themselves of the contract. He does have some decent rates, so they may find a taker, especially if they retain.
Manti te'o's girlfriend
Whoever that is.
Bobby Ryan
Joel will try to get something, anything, for him.
Tyler Johnson (C/W) and Max Pacioretty (LW)
Sens are in the market for a top end LW and are shopping Johnson and Pacioretty. Wait, what?
Kadri / JVR
Being shopped. Going cheap.
CHI1 2020
Hawks are actively shopping their first in an effort to land a young player.
Radek Faksa
Knights are dangling Faksa for a young D. Nobody trade with Joe, he's the devil.
All picks owned by EDM
Leon is gonna go all-in and do something crazy. I can feel it.
Alex Goligoski
If rumpy ever comes back, he should retain and trade Goli. Maybe make a move to improve for next year, and make a run then.
Nobody on the Aves
Bryce has been quiet in regards to trade intentions. And we should all have learned by now not to trade with him, right?
JGP
I could see Junya capitalizing on his good season IRL and moving him for someone with better rates now.
Joel Farabee
I couldn't think of anyone else from the Wild that is likely to be moved. In all honesty, I think Al stands pat.
John Klingenhammerberger
I actually think the Preds are gonna be quiet, but I do think Sheds may finally move on from the Klingenhammer.
John Gibson
Time for Devon to move on. Gibson won't rerate well, so it is time for Dev to move him to a contender.
Ilya Kovalchuk
Trade him to a Habs fan while they still love him.
Tyler Toffoli
Having a better season IRL. I could see Riccardo moving him for a guy who would help more now.
Patrice Bergeron
Greg is retooling. Bergeron could be the best rated rental available. Just watch out for that contract.
Anthony Duclair
If the Rags want to make a push for the postseason, Duclair is a fantastic trade chip to get them an upgrade.
