Playoff Daily Recap
Isles 3
CBJ 4(OT)
Game 3 in Colmbus couldn't have been closer for 2 periods as when the second frame ended the score was 2-2 and shots on goal 23-23. I don't know what happened in that second intermission to change things but when the puck dropped for the third period it was a completely different game with CBJ taking total control. A.Vasilevskiy was once again a beast and despite his team being outshot 16-5 in the third they managed to sneak this game to overtime tied at 3 when they tied it with 12 seconds left and the goalie out. The Isles however didn't fare any better in overtime as they didn't even manage a shot before B.Wheeler ended it with his surprisingly low 1st of the playoffs. The Isles will look to steal home ice back again in game 4 now trailing 2-1
Habs 2
Sens 3
In a game the Sens had to have the most important player delivered to get them back into the series. D.Kuemper needed to be better and he was extremely good stopping 42-44 shots and he needed every one of them for the win. The Sens certainly didn't play terrible putting 33 shots on goal of their own but this was clearly not the team performance GM Steph was hoping to see coming home. The difference in this game was Kuemper outperforming F.Andersen but it won't be Andersen in goal for game 4 and it may not be Kuemper either! Sens hoping for more heading to game 4....trail 2-1
