As has been the case all playoffs, if you want to beat Dallas you have to have the lead heading into the third and the Oilers executed the plan perfectly. This game was a complete snorefest for 2 periods with the only action a goal from J.Moore just before the halfway point of the game. With the Oilers outshooting the home side 19-14 thru 40 minutes it was exactly the type of game Edmonton wanted as Dallas was going to have to push the play in the third. Well, that gameplan worked to some degree as J.Moore once again pulled the trigger for his second of the game and 2nd of the playoffs but Edmonton could just as easily have pissed this game away being outshot 16-4 in the frame. C. Hellebuyck was solid in net for Edmonton stopping all 30 shots faced for his 9th playoff win while B.Bishop has to be a bit disappointed with his performance as he allowed 2 even strength goals on just 23 shots against.
