Well, game 1 is in the books and 1 game was all it took to steal home ice away from Ottawa. The formula for Dallas success was once again mixed up and baked to perfection for the result GM Junya was hoping for. B.Bishop was solid as a rock all evening not allowing a determined Ottawa group to ever gain a lead and when Dallas was finally able to gain the upper hand in the third he was there when needed. This was not at all an easy victory for Dallas as they were outplayed for the most part and only managed 25 shots on goal for the game but the old saying "you can't win if you don't play 60 minutes" was apparently a lie as the first 40 minutes were not good for Dallas! This was not the result Ottawa was hoping for but the game itself was the type of effort GM Steph can live with and if the stat lines continue to be similar going forward I think the results will follow! Dallas draws first blood up 1-0
