2020 RFA Sign & Trade Minimums
details below
SIGN & TRADES
a. Bryce will set minimum levels for sign & trade contracts prior to FA starting. These are roughly based on draft pick value.
b. Teams may agree to take other forms of compensation outside of the draft pick compensation. In an instant where a team is not liking the RFA offer presented, they can shop around for someone to increase the offer, having a set compensation set out, where they let that player sign elsewhere for the alternative compensation. When this occurs the RFA player CANNOT be staying with his current team.
c. Once you’ve solicited and have a sign and trade arranged, you MAY NOT continue to shop the player. If someone ups the bid, the deal is null and void. And you may match or take comp at that time or negotiate a new sign and trade somewhere.
d. Anything, outside of the basic RFA structure, so any sort of sign and trade; MUST be cleared with the league office BEFORE the offer(s) are made.
e. Unlike UFA, there is no penalty for trading recently signed RFA's

What do I do next?
1. You may work on getting sign & trades worked out for when FA starts in early July
2. Any sign & trades MUST have league approval (Bryce or Eric) before FA, it’s merely ensuring all basis are covered.
3. You may NOT sign & trade RFA for RFA. If one gets upped and another doesn’t it throws things into array. You must work out separate deals for all RFA’s that aren’t based on contingencies.
4. If your RFA isn’t listed here, there is no minimum on him (sorry he isn’t good enough), unless I’ve blatantly missed someone.
5. You CAN still trade the rights to an RFA, and the team acquiring him CAN sign him to an extension (as trade is completed, similar to an agent searching a deal/contract for the player) before RFA opens.
6. No you CANNOT sign your own RFA to an extension at this point, he’s sick of your crap and done with you.
7. Once RFA bidding begins, if your sign & trade offer to the RFA gets upped, the deal is null and void in the leagues eyes. You can then rework/submit an additional sign & trade should you wish
8. You may not search out additional sign & trades once you have one agreed to. Until the time that original sign & trade bid has been upped.
