Western Semi's
Oilers 1
Vegas 4
In a series that to this point has been very competetive we are seeing non-competetive results as Vegas once again emerges on the victorious end of the scoresheet. J. Quick appears to have established himself as the "go-to" tender for a Vegas team that struggled mightily to get past the Jets but does not seem to be afflicted with the same issues against a very strong Edmonton squad. Suddenly this vegas team has found the range for their shooters as they effectively ended this game just 2 periods in sniping 4 goals on just 25 shots to that point and although the shots ended 37-34, the closeness of the shot totals didn't reflect on the scoreboard. Oilers in a bit of hot water trailing 2-0 look to right the ship on home ice!
Stars 4
Aves 1
Just when they look like shit, the turd that is Dallas floats back up and simply will not flush! After what has to be considered Dallas' worst game of this years playoffs ( and maybe worst....period) the Stars woke up in a big way to take Game 2. This was yet another close game that was competetive throughout but you wouldn't know it from the scoreboard if you just casually looked at the final. Dallas did outshoot Colorado 33-30 but the difference in this game was B.Bishop returned to form and despite falling behind 1-0 in the first was brilliant the rest of the way not allowing another goal until the rest of the squad got their legs under them. A couple of PP goals was all Dallas would need but a couple of insurance markers didn't hurt either. P. Grubauer took his first loss of the playoffs in this one but could hardly be faulted for the loss as only 1 goal of support isn't going to cut it on most nights. Series tied at 1 heading to Big D
