Western Semi's
Vegas 2
Oilers 4
This is becoming a bit too common of an occurrance to be just "deja vu" for Vegas as once again they were the better team on the ice but a second place finisher in the game. To be fair, this was a 1 goal game with an empty netter tossed in and Edmonton didn't play poorly but Vegas has had this type of effort go unrewarded numerous times already in these playoffs and we are only 4 games into round 2. Vegas controlled all 3 periods and outshot their opponents 40-28 overall but couldn't manage the same result on the scoresheet. P. Mrazek hasn't looked good at all in goal for Edmonton thus far but changed everything in one game grabbing his first win tonight stopping 38 shots and giving C. Hellebuyck a much needed rest in the process. Starting anew back in Vegas tied at 2
Aves 3
Stars 2
Not going to say this is over because I have seen this act before but it certainly looks to be over. With the combination of tenders that can be tossed out on a nightly basis with the team in front of them it will be a very daunting task to take 3 straight games against this Avalanche squad. Colorado came out of the gate running Dallas all over the rink and handing them their asses at every opportunity to the tune of a 19-9 shot on goal period. In typical Dallas fashion, Dallas exited the period with the lead thanks once again to opportune shooting and stellar play from B.Bishop. This, in past seasons is where Dallas would choke the life out of the game, get a cheesey goal somewhere to get some seperation, and then wait for the next game to do that to you again! However, this is this season and 2 goals later by the Aves it was Dallas trying to get something going and P. Francouz was having none of it in Colorado's goal. Roles reversed this season as we are headed to Colorado for Game 5 with Dallas trailing 3-1
