Western Semi's

Oilers      2

Vegas     1

This series is quickly becoming a very interesting one and a very difficult one to predict. With the Oilers now up 3 games to 2 it is obvious to state that they have the advantage but this is also the same Oilers team that opened the series with back to back losses and looked to be in a world of trouble before storming back with 3 straight wins. Tonights game saw the visitors storm out of the gate with a very impressive first period outshooting the home side 15-6 and taking a 1-0 lead. The rest of the game however was a steady decline for the Oilers and if not for a quick early second goal just 16 seconds into the second period this game likely would have had a different result. Vegas took control part way through the second and by the third had taken over the game completely when outshooting the Oil 11-1 in the final frame. Once again Vegas ran into a hot goalie and once again they are forced to go to game 7 if they make it that far! Also of note is J. Quick is likely out for the next game for Vegas while the Oilers will have both tenders at 100% and will have a rested goalie for Game 6 and 7 if neccessary! Oilers up 3-2

The King is dead, the king is dead! The reigning monarch of the BRHL has stepped aside, for this year at least, while GM Bryce continues to exercise his demons and advances to the third round of the playoffs. This series was over after last game in reality after B.Bishop failed to secure the win. Bishop was clearly physically spent following the game and was going to be unavailable for game 6 regardless so GM Junya rolled the dice and crapped out!  This was about as even a game that could be played with shots 38-38 but the goaltending was tilted heavily in Colorados direction. Forced to use C. Dreiger for the first time this playoffs in a must win on the road was not the best situation for GM Junya and although disappointing for Dallas it was the expected result! Colorado advances!
