Western Semi's

Oilers    4

Vegas    5

For the second straight series Vegas has been pushed to the brink of elimination and for the second straight series theymanaged to dodge the bullet. In a completely shocking turn of events GM Bast went back to his ultra-tired backstop J. Quick to start this game. Apparently it was discussed with the coaching staff prior to puck drop that if Quick didn't look himself to get him the fck out before any serious damage could be done. Just seven shots into the contest Quick found himself comfortably on the end of the bench where he should have started but only trailing 2-0. L. Ullmark came into the game and was a calming influence on the Knights and when J. Silfverberg scored to cut the lead to 1 prior to the first period ending it was game on. Oilers fans were hoping their stud goalie would somehow turn away the determined homeside but Vegas was just 1 step quicker all evening outshooting the Oilers in all 3 periods and 35-28 overall. A very close series ends in a very close game. Vegas advances 4-3
