GM Bast did the unthinkable and gave J.Quick the night off.....the result was a wild west shootout that somehow ended in a nail-biting low scoring affair. This game featured end to end action from the puck drop on with Vegas holding the edge in shots 42-34 for the game and a deserved victory but it was anything but an easy go for the visitors. P. Francouz was solid in goal for Colorado stopping 40 shots but someone forgot to unpack his shooters sticks as they could only muster 1 goal of support for the beleagured net minder. Neither goalie deserved to take the loss in this one but Vegas just wanted and needed this game a little bit more and will now head home with a much needed split. Nothing for either team to hang their heads about thus far and this looks like another 6 or 7 game series in the making! Headed to Vegas tied at 1
