Game 7 excitement was the only excitement this game provided as both teams appeared to play not to lose as opposed to trying to win. The difference in this game was clearly reflected in the score as the Aves just did a little bit more all game long and were rewarded for the effort with the win. P. Grubauer got the start in goal for Colorado and he did what was expected stopping all 24 shots faced as Vegas was simply unable to place any sustained pressure on him throughout the game. In fact, Vegas didn't manage double-digit shots in any period for the game and with not alot of penalties were unable to rely on special teams either. This was a bit of an anti-climactic end to an otherwise great series but Colorado will gladly take it. Aves win 4-3
