Like WTF was that? Anyone in the East that had to play the Isles see anything like that from Vasilevskiy???? Answer: NOPE!!!! The BRHL Finals kicked off in what was an anticipated western offence vs. the well rounded Eastern defensive beast and it wasn't a match-up at all. In what can only be described as an anomally (GM Joe better hope so) Colorado hung 6 up on a guy that would have been into his 3rd game before giving up that many on a mere 32 shots. One could possibly have understood this type of production had there been an abundance of PP time but nope....not that either! GM Bryce has to be encouraged by his teams early success and with his team getting scoring from numerous players it will be obviously difficult for GM Joe and his Isles to simply fix 1 problem and all will be well. In another strange development the Isles coaching staff didn't feel the need to rest Vasilevskiy when the game got out of hand leaving him in there to get further discouraged and more fatigued allowing all 6 goals against. Despite all the negative press, the game was anything but a washout anywhere but on the final score and it is only 1 game so lets not award the cup just yet. GM Joe will look for some answers while Colorado will be storing those sticks in the oven to keep them hot! Colorado up 1-0
