BRHL Finals

Isles     4

Aves    6

The roller coaster ride that is the BRHL finals continues as yet another twist has turned the series upside down! After a potential disaster was averted for the Isles when C. McElhinney stepped in and stole game 4 it was a well rested A. Vasilevskiy that returned to the twine. The result was anything but what was expected as Vasilevskiy got shelled for the second time in the series giving up 5, YES I SAID 5 goals on just 20 shots and was removed from the game. To be somewhat fair to the Isles tender all 20 shots came before the game was even 20 minutes old so the Isles team defense can certainly take some heat as well. C. McElhinney came in and steadied the ship for the visitors but too much damage had already been done and despite some push back from the New Yorkers the game was over in the first period. Kudos goes out to GM Bryce and his squad for once again finding the solution to the puzzle that is Vasilevskiy but they may have done it too quickly as fatigue should no longer be a factor for as long as the series goes. GM Joe will look for a much better showing from his squad defensively at home in Game 6 then the 41 shots allowed in Game 5 while GM Bryce will once again put those sticks in the oven to keep them hot hoping for some more of the same in Game 6. Off to New York with Colorado up 3-2
