Flyers 4
Canes 2
Game 2 kicked off in Carolina with the home Canes looking to extend their series lead while the Flyers were looking to even things up. The Flyers came out flying outshooting the home side 15-6 and were rewarded for their efforts heading to the intermission with a slim 1-0 lead. The difference in this game however once again came down to the goaltending of Flyers C. Driedger as after the first period Carolina took control outshooting Philly 24-14 but were outscored 3-2 the rest of the way. Like the Flyers previous series with Washington, the success of the Flyers will come from their ability to keep the puck out of their net as they simply don't have the firepower to win shootouts. The strategies going forward are simple, the Flyers need a lead and choke the life out of the game while the Canes will want to get a lead and add to it when the Flyers are forced to be offensive. Let's see who executes moving forward! Series tied at 1
Habs 3
Bruins 2
With Boston once again at home they were looking to salvage at least a split having already lost home ice advantage in Game 1. Looking at the final score you would think that this was a hard fought game but that just isn't the case as for the second series in a row Boston has looked like shit through 2. To everyone in the rinks surprise, this game headed to the third tied at 2 despite the hometown Bruins being outplayed and outshot 28-11. What should have been a big rally point for the third period, still being alive in a game they didn't show up for, the Bruins could only muster another 7 shots while giving up the game winner. Montreal is still undefeated in these playoffs now heading home up 2-0
