Canes 5
Flyers 2
This series shifted back to Philly with the hometown Flyers looking to double down on last games victory but it was not to be. After an energetic start to the game that saw Philly outshoot the visitors 11-5, the homeside was forced to head to the break tied at 1. That was the best part of this Game for the Flyers as Carolina asserted themselves the rest of the way outshooting their counterparts 24-11 and outscoring them 4-1 over that period. This was also the first chink in the armour for goalie C.Driedger as he was lifted after surrendering 4 goals on just 13 shots which doesn't bode well moving forward for Philly. With the win Carolina regains home ice while Philly will look to even things up once again in Game 4.
Bruins 1
Habs 4
What to say about GM Steve and his Habs? Seven games played and seven wins....one starter with a 4-0-0 record and the other with a 3-0-0....both goalies with better than .950 save %.....just killing it. Tonights game was just another walk in the park for this suddenly unbeatable franchise as they jumped out to an early lead and let their strong goaltending duo protect it in the third. Montreal was full value for a 3-1 lead after 2 periods outshooting the visitors 26-14 and when Boston finally put together a strong period their goaltending put together a better one turning away all 16 third period shots! To say that this series is over may be a tad premature but the fat lady is certainly warming up and nothing short of a total reversal of fortune will save the Bruins now! Habs up 3-0 and looking for another long rest!
