In a game that featured 5 combined goals this was clearly a battle of the starting goalies. Carolina went into Philadelphia needing a win to stay alive and they got it in large part because of C. Talbot. Talbot turned aside 39 shots in the win but C. Driedger was not to be outdone turning aside 39 of his own in a losing effort. Much like the Blues yesterday these Flyers had the opportunity to advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs despite being severe underdogs in both series. Unlike the Blues however they will be forced into a Game 7 to do it if they can. This series , as has already been documented, may come down to goal scoring ability or lack thereof as somehow these Flyers despite having only 3 guys with 80+ scoring continue to remain in games they have no business being in. Game 7 in Carolina coming up !
