Lucky for everyone this isn't a best of 99 because it may have gone the distance. This razor close series has finally come to an end with the home town Flames finally securing themselves a spot in the conference finals. Despite C. Hellebuycks best efforts he couldn't stop the onslaught of the Flames attack while his teamates simply couldn't generate enough of their own pressure. This game was tilted in Calgarys favor from the opening puck drop and in all honesty would have been a travesty had they found a way to lose. Calgary outshot Edmonton all three periods and 41-24 overall and left little doubt who was the better team on this night. With this win they will once again be favored against a stubborn Blues squad. Congrats to GM Leon for pulling a rabbit out of a hat at the deadline and getting as close as they did. Conference finals on the horizon!
