West Finals

Blues    2

Flames  4

Maybe there is a sim god after all? Although all of the remaining 4 teams to make it to this point had very good seasons the likes of the Ducks, Stars, Bruins, and Isles had to be considered favorites to represent their respective conferences in the finals. After the deadline adds the last of the "powerhouse" teams standing (Flames) made the final 4 and got off to a good start in the western finals. The game didn't start the way the home side wanted as despite outshooting the visitors they exited the first stanza trailing 1-0. Turn about is fair play however as the visitors outshot the Flames in the second period only to be outscored 3-1 and head to the third trailing 3-2. The Flames left little doubt who the better team was in the third outshooting the Blues 15-7 and putting this game to bed adding another goal for the 2 goal victory. T. Jarry was once again solid in goal for the Blues stopping 32 shots but if these Blues want to move on he will have to be better! Flames draw first blood up 1-0
