West Finals

Blues     5

Flames  3

The Flames entered the contest up a game in this Western Conference final and were looking for more on home ice. The Blues on the other hand had ideas of a split and stealing home ice but those ideas took an early hit when Connor Brown opened the scoring just 1:13 into the first period. Sometimes you have get knocked down to rise up as they say and St. Louis steadied the ship before erupting for 3 goals in the final 3 minutes of the first to take a 3-1 lead into the break. That lead was one that the Blues simply wouldn't let go of as they didn't sway from their game throughout despite their advantage continuing to play a strong offensive game. St. Louis went on to outshoot the homeside 41-35 for the game and was full value for the win but make no mistake about it, this game could have easily tilted following that early goal and the fact that the Flames offense generated double-digit shots in every period. T. Jarry has been a rock for these Blues and will need to continue to be to hold off this talented Calgary group. Series all even at 1 heading to St.Louis.
