This game 5 battle is yet another in a long list of 1 goal contests so far in these playoffs. Tristan Jarry once again was heroic for the visiting Blues keeping his team in it time and again but sooner or later when you continue to be outplayed it catches up with you and the Blues got a taste of that on this evening. The final score and shots on goal aren't nearly as indicative of the way this game unfolded as the Flames jumped all over the visitors outshooting them 23-10 in the first period and 35-17 through 2 periods. As mentioned earlier T.Jarry did all he could keeping his team alive only trailing by a goal heading into the third. St. Louis responded to their goalies efforts with an outstanding third period but the damage was already done and despite a 16 shot effort couldn't get the tieing goal to force overtime. The series now shifts back to St.Louis where they hope to remain alive now trailing 3-2
