The scoresheet reads St.Louis with a 1 goal victory but this is an example where the score doesn't reflect the game play! St.Louis once again rallied with their backs against the wall opening up with a 13-3 first period shot differential and a 2-0 lead. The tilted ice continued into the second when the Blues netted their 3rd before Calgary finally showed some life scoring their first of the game but St.Louis quickly restored their 3 goal lead before the period ended. That was essentially all she wrote for this contest as a 3 goal deficit was just too much to expect to overcome. Calgary would go on to add a couple of third period tallies but it was window dressing only as this was likely the worst effort we have seen these playoffs from the Flames. Blues get it done on home ice and force Game 7 in Calgary to determine the West Reps!
