BORING!!!! After some intense and exciting hockey throughout the playoffs the finals kicked off with a clunker. St.Louis fell out of the gate managing a solid 1 shot on goal for the first period in total but somehow exited the frame tied at 1....UGGGHHH! The paint must have been peeling in the locker room following that pathetic showing from the home side as they played a much better period in the second putting 18 shots on the Carolina goal. From the strange but true file they only managed 1 goal again and exited with the score tied yet again but this time at 2. You would think that with neither team doing much for 2 periods that one of them would wake the fck up and take control but nope....a totally even yet boring period ensued with both clubs barely managing 10 shots a piece. The good news for the home side was that one of those shots found the net when L.Couture sniped his 10th of these playoffs on the lone powerplay of the period to give the Blues the victory. These two go at it again tomorrow with hopefully a better showing from both squads. Blues up 1-0
