The BRHL playoffs kicked off for the 2023 playoffs and everyone that was expected to prevail did exactly as expected!

The BRHL playoffs kicked off with a bang but it was certainly not the bang GM Al was hoping for as his Wild squad ran into a door with an emphatic bang!! This game was a total mis-match with the Oilers taking complete control early and often putting up a 6-0 advantage but that certainly was not a true indicater of the game at hand. After 2 periods of play the visiting Wild held a 23-18 shot advantage but trailed 6-0 enroute to a very lopsided loss. Although most in the BRHL expected a rather one-sided victory for the heavily favoured Oil this was not the expected route to victory! As the sim gods like to fck with us the Oilers played their best period in the third outshooting the Wild 14-5 yet being outscored 2-1.....like wtf???? I guess we won't put too much into this as clearly the better team on paper got the victory....yes??? OK....moving on with Oilers up 1-0

The second game of this years playoffs kicked off with the visiting Sharks ( everyones favorite antagonizer) in the hometown Calgary Flames barn. This game , to the dismay of the brash "commissioner", played out exactly to script with the Flames controlling most of the game and coasting to a 3-1 victory. From the opening puck drop the hometown Flames had the advantage outplaying and outshooting the visitors from San Jose and the result reflected that advantage. After 2 periods the Flames were clinging to a 1 goal lead but in all fairness that was flattering to the visiting Sharks as they were being outshot and manhandled to the tune of a 26-12 shots on goal. The Sharks did manage to show up for the third period and based on how the defensive Flames played deserved a better fate late but in the playoffs you can't take two periods off and expect to win. The Sharks got their ass kicked for 2 periods and take the early "L".....Flames up 1-0

Well, the series everyone will be talking about got under way with the "real commisioner" and the 10 minutes late to the party "sim genious" going  head to head in game 1. Bryce, with his substantial hockey knowledge ( when not blinded by homerism) locking horns with Junya and his ( I take over a great team and add sim geekism) ....I could go on about the size of Bryces hammer and/or lack thereof for Junya but then I would sound like Greg so I will simply cut to the chase! Bryce wins do to goaltending....the End!!!

Honestly!!!! Do I really need to waste my time on this? We all love Sheds but he is here because nobody else wanted to be and here we are!!! The defending cup champs out shot, out chanced, out played, and out scored the visitors from Nashville and thats about it! There is nothing fancy or unique to discuss here other then if the Preds want to at least get some playoff revenue they better find a way to steal a game or two or the predictable result will happen sooner than later!!!
