West Continues

Oilers    4

Wild      1

Well nothing new to report here! The visting Oilers rolled into Minnesota riding high after 2 convincing vicotries at home looking for more of the same and they got just that. GM Al and his Wild were hoping the home crowd could breathe some life into this listless bunch and they did for a bit as early in the second the Wild took a lead. That lead was very short lived however as the Oilers quickly rallied to tie and shorly thereafter took a lead of their own. That was as close to victory as it would get for the Wild as Edmonton would score twice more for yet another lopsided win. Not sure what GM Al can pull out of a hat to change things up at this point but if he doesn't his squad will be broomed out of these playoffs at home! Oil lead 3-0

Flames    3

Sharks    4

Sharks win...Sharks win! Gm Sumit and his team managed to avoid talks of the broom in this one with a narrow 1 goal victory but that may be just a stay of execution at this point. The Sharks gave a surprise start to A.Stolarz and he was brilliant stopping 37 of the 40 shots faced while his counterpart D.Kuemper stopped 21 of 25 for his first loss of the playoffs. This was a game that should not have gone the way of the Sharks but maybe they stumbled onto a winning formula with Stolarz in net??? I doubt it will matter if San Jose continues to play like this as Kuemper will not continue to play like that. Is this just a blip on the radar for GM Kevin and his Flames or has GM Sumit found the spark his team needed? Game 4 is on the horizon so we will find out soon! Flames still up 2-1

Av's       1

Stars     8

Wow.....did someone expect GM Junya and his Stars to rebound?? Maybe!!! Did anyone expect this kind of rebound??? Nope!!!  After a very even first period Dallas found itself in a very good position leading 2-0 heading back onto the ice for the second. That is when the wheels completely fell off for the visitors from Colorado giving up 21 shots and 5 more goals enroute to one of the ugliest losses in BRHL playoff history (guessing!!). Tell me if anyone has heard this strategy before.... Dallas gets lead, forces other teams to open up, then counter punches the fck outta them? This has been GM Junya and his Stars claim to fame since he arrived so nothing new there. In the first 2 games of the series Colorado has only trailed by 1 goal one time which both resulted in wins so the direction for success is clear. Do not fall behind because Dallas ability to protect and expand on leads is second to none. This series was predicted to be long and good and appears to be following expectations. Dallas breathing now down 2-1

Blues     4 (OT)

Preds    3

Ok, anyone can say whatever they like about the expectations of this series and maybe correct looking at the results to this point but this was a game the defending cup champs didn't deserve to win! After 3 periods of play the hometown Preds had outshot the visitors from St.Louis to the tune of 37 to 19 proving once again the value of a sim friendly goalie. T.Jarry was simply outstanding for GM Eric and his Blues allowing his team to find their legs. Alex Ovechkin doesn't need many opportunities to score so when he got his shot in overtime it was lights out for the home side. This was the best game played by the Preds thus far and still resulted in a loss so not sure what can be done to keep this ship from sinking! GM Sheds will hope to avoid the broom now down 3-0
