Round 1 ends
Flyers 2
CBJ 3 (OT)
Game 7 took place in Columbus with the visiting Flyers hoping they hadn't let this series slip away. With Columbus at no point being ahead in this series this would be their last chance to do so and much to the delight of the home crowd did just that! The Jackets saved their best game of the playoffs for this tilt apparently and everyone involved in this game were particularily feisty with several fights and penalties handed out to both squads. When the dust settled it was the grizzled veteran Ryan Getzlaf standing tall netting his second of the playoffs and series winning goal in overtime to send he and his teammates on to the second round. GM Anthony and his Flyers can only wonder what could have been as they were up 2 games to none after stealing both games on the road to open the series and then took a 3 games to 2 lead into Game 6. Columbus is a very good team so you have to take advantage of every opportunity given.....the Flyers didn't and now the season is over! Columbus moving on winning 4-3
